The 2025 season will mark the second year that the College Football Playoffs will feature a 12-team field. This year's group will include the five highest-ranked conference champions and the next highest ranked teams for slots six through 12.

The 2025 CFP Field is Forming

Traditional powers such as Ohio State, Alabama and Georgia seem to have a firm grip on earning their way into the 2025 playoffs. However, programs such as Texas A&M, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Miami, Vandy and BYU are making a strong big towards punching their 2025 playoff tickets. The Indiana Hoosiers are poised for consecutive CFP appearances following big wins over Illinois and Oregon. The March to a Championship Begins December 19th

The CFP title chase kicks off on 12/19 with four first round on-campus games being played that weekend. The quarterfinals take place 12/31-1/1 and will incorporate the Cotton, Orange, Rose and Sugar Bowls.

The Semifinals will be played Jan 8-9 through the Fiesta and Peach Bowls. The 2025 College Football Playoffs Championship Game will be played Jan. 19 at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.
